The Social Media

Today, there is no quicker and more efficient way to release news than through the social media. Through the Internet, incidents can occur and be reported within a matter of a few hours. When there are details that are unknown at the time of the incident, such as the names of victims or perpetrators, they can be instantly released through the social media when that information is acquired, unlike the newspaper. Online articles are usually known to be shorter; however, I feel that more information can be obtained from these articles rather than in the newspaper because these websites get straight to the point. Some social media websites include Facebook, YouTube and Twitter; which are very familiar to most of us and are checked and updated on an hourly basis. In order to get accurate information from these sources, you should follow certain pages like CNN and Fox News. Newspapers are becoming a thing of the past and social media is our future; it’s quicker and easier to access and update wherever you might be. I think that the social media covers the news effectively and although most of the times in a concise manner, I don’t feel that they leave out any important details.
